Organization and facilities
The Center for Bio-Mediated & Bio-Inspired Geotechnics (CBBG) brings together a suite of institutions, laboratory facilities and test beds that are unique in the nation, providing exceptional capabilities in leading edge technology and methods. These facilities are part of a larger network when connected to our international collaborators, industry partners (including state and local agencies), and within the larger framework of the ERC network. While geographically disperse, we view this as an opportunity to reach a wider student and stakeholder constituency. The CBBG center is purposely designed to connect its members seamlessly through a shared use policy, and frequent in-person and mediated communication.
